For people who would rather be outside.
Tango is a small independent snowboard maker in Hood River, Oregon. We design, press, finish and ship every board ourselves, and almost all of us ride on our days off.
There are no investors and no minimum sales targets, just a shop full of people who like making things that last. That lets us decide how fast to work, what to build and when a board isn't good enough to leave the building.

Sixty boards per run, no more. Small batches let us check every board and mean we never have to discount a mistake.
Every design is tested on real mountains by real riders for a full season before it reaches the shop. If we wouldn't ride it, we don't sell it.
Chipped edge? Delaminated tip? Send it back. We repair Tango boards of any age for the price of the parts.

Draws every Tango shape by hand, then rides the prototypes until they break.
Co-founder, shop foreman
A former ski patroller who still wears the same battered jacket to work every day.
Lead shaper
Joined in 2002 and designed the Habanera. Believes the best board is the one nobody notices.
Team and rider relations
Runs our sponsored riders, our demo days and our increasingly competitive office chili cook-off.
Customer service and warranty
Answers your emails, usually within a day, and has opinions about every wax temperature.
Finish and quality
The last person to touch every board. Has rejected more perfect-looking top sheets than anyone alive.
Making snowboards is not a gentle business, but we can be thoughtful about it.
We sponsor riders of every kind, from park rats to backcountry lifers. Show us what you've got.
